// Dinner out with family//

My uncle from Australia came home for a visit so papa and I decided to take him out for dinner. We were supposed to let him try outYakimixbut we weren’t able to make a reservation and the line was unbelievable! Luckily, there are so many choices in Tomas Morato andAmiciwas only a few steps away.

Amici used to be one of my favorite Italian restaurants, but since itswit change of management, it just feels different- the food doesn’t taste as good as before and the service felt mediocre.

Mozarella Frito (P215.00) Golden fried mozarella sticks with tangy pomodoro sauce

Margherita Pizza (P315.00) Mozarella cheese and fresh basil

Ravioli di Spinaci Pasta (P240.00) Spinach and mushroom filled ravioli served in a creamy, truffle oil flavoured sauce

For dessert, I had my usualMint with Chocolategelato

Grai and I had a dinner date at Mashitta, a Korean-Japanese fusion restaurant. I hadJjampong Ramyun and she hadCheese Tuna Rolls.
Mashitta is located at the 2/F University Mall, Taft Avenue, Manila

// Favourite Persian Diner//

Papa and I have this favourite Persian diner / restaurant near home called Behrouz. We only eat here when we’re really hungry and craving for Persian food cause serving sizes are huge! I always leave this place feeling 3 pounds heavier than when I come in.

I forget what exactly this dish is called, but it’s beef kebab with Persian rice and butter

Hummus! One of my favorite appetizers in the world! Don’t forget to order pita bread with this! ;)

Ox brain! Always better when sprinkled with calamansi or lemon juice

I always order extra tomatoes and onions! I love how they make the tomatoes a little bit burnt on the outside, but real juicy on the inside

Behrouzis located in Sct. Tobias Street corner Timog Avenue, Quezon City

Open everyday from 5pm-5am

// Lunch out//

Some time during last term, Hazel and I had to go to Rockwell to pick up a sponsorship solicitation. We decided to eat in Kulinarya, Powerplant Mall for lunch.

Callos Spanish stew served with rice- P295.00

Gambas(served with rice or bread)- P250.00

Prawns Thermidore2 pcs prawns with chorizo sauce and Spanish rice- P395.00

Among the three dishes, Hazel and I were looking forward to eating the Prawns Thermidore but we were so disappointed. We both knew it had some garnishing, but we knew wrong. That’s all there was- garnishing! We just found and ate 4 tiny pieces of shrimp parts from each prawn.

The food was good and the service was good too, so I’m definitely coming back to dine here given the chance.

Kulinarya is located in P1, Powerplant Mall, Rockwell Center, Makati City

// 8Mcdo Delivery: The almost “horrible” experience//

I had no classes today and no people are at home to cook me meals. I decided to order a single meal from McDonald’s today and I ordered in at 5:20 pm using their online delivery service

Three hours later, I am munching on a chicken nugget (which I purchased myself) and writing this blog entry.

McDonald’s is huge here in the Philippines. A lot of people come in and out of their doors and call in for a delivery service (which claims to be a 24/7 service, if I may add). Thing is, being as big as they are here in the Philippines, it probably wouldn’t matter to them what kind of service they give to their customers. Being the kind of person that I am, I always want to claim what I deserve as a customer so I decided to write them a letter on their customer care site. I just hope somebody takes the time to read it.

 Here’s what I wrote:

To whom it may concern:

 Today, 20 October 2011 at 5:20 pm, I ordered in using your online delivery service. To my dismay, three hours later, and I’m writing you a letter of complaint. I have not received my order, and you did a great job of dissatisfying a customer. Imagine doing this to one customer a day. That’s already 365 customers a year. I acknowledge that you are a huge company here in the Philippines. After all, what is a P192 pesos to you when you probably earn hundreds of thousands in a day? What you don’t realize is how much people care actually care about customer satisfaction. If you people rather have customers calling in for a delivery, then I suggest you take down your website. I look forward to hearing from you, even if it’s just an acknowledgement of some sort.

Anyways, this was the message after I clicked send:

 My feedback better be important to you motherfuckers and do better at your job. Also, you’re welcome because I really needed to take the time to notify you concerning your bullshit service.
